Mechanism of Action
Non-biologic immunosuppressive drugs that broadly suppress lymphocyte proliferation, used particularly for moderate-to-severe organ-threatening manifestations like lupus nephritis. None of these drugs were developed specifically for or hold an FDA indication specific to SLE, but decades of clinical experience have established their role, especially as steroid-sparing agents.
