Mechanism of Action
An investigational monoclonal antibody with a dual mechanism: it blocks the BAFF receptor (BAFF-R) on B cells, similar in concept to belimumab's BLyS-blocking approach, while also directly depleting B cells via antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity — combining two complementary B-cell-targeting strategies in one molecule. Being evaluated in Phase 3 SIRIUS-SLE 1 and SIRIUS-SLE 2 trials, with data expected in 2027.
